The foundation of Lawrence Buck’s practice is the considerable experience he employs in guiding his clients through the criminal justice system.
For many clients, it is the first time they have ever had any contact with the courts or with law enforcement. His methodical, even-handed approach is reflected in a passion for the practice of law that originates from a diverse and varied background.
Immediately prior to his admission to law school, Mr. Buck worked at the trial court level for the Office of the Court Administrator of Palm Beach County for nearly three years. This time spent in the courtroom preceding his legal studies provided an invaluable real world education and introduction to the criminal justice system that continues to benefit his clients today.
In his third year of law school Mr. Buck met the criteria of the Florida Supreme Court as a Certified Legal Intern and began an internship with the Office of the Public Defender in Palm Beach County. The internship preceded his employment as an Assistant Public Defender where he gained extensive trial experience defending indigent adults and juveniles facing prosecution in Palm Beach County criminal and juvenile court. The knowledge and strategies learned at the Public Defender’s Office were expanded while an Associate at the civil firm of Littky, Smith & Phipps in West Palm Beach where he advocated for the rights of the individual over the interests of corporate America and the insurance companies.
This ultimately led to the founding of his firm which focuses on defending adults and juveniles who find themselves on the wrong side of the law and in difficult situations. Over time he has become known for proactive, creative solutions specifically tailored to each individual client’s needs while dispensing pragmatic advice. Active in his local bar association, he frequently gives of his time in the furtherance of his profession. He was recently re-elected to a second term on the Board of Directors of the North County Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association; he has been recognized twice by the Florida Supreme Court for his pro-bono work advocating on behalf of children for the Palm Beach County Legal Aid Society and donated his time, energy and knowledge when asked to sit on the Planning and Implementation Committee for the creation of the Palm Beach County Juvenile Drug Court program. He is well respected for his legal ability by his peers, prosecutors and the judiciary. His reputation is frequently the basis for new client referrals from fellow attorneys and former clients.
While based in Palm Beach County, Mr. Buck accepts cases throughout the State of Florida and is admitted to practice in Federal Court as well.
